Why I Created Arundel House
When I created Arundel House, I never wanted to simply furnish four apartments and offer somewhere to stay.
I wanted to create the kind of place I would genuinely enjoy staying in myself — somewhere comfortable, calm and thoughtfully considered, where the small details quietly make a difference.
Having travelled extensively over the years, I came to realise that true comfort isn't about extravagance. It's about sleeping well, enjoying a peaceful shower, making a wonderful cup of tea and feeling completely at ease in your surroundings.
That philosophy has guided every decision at Arundel House. From our premium bamboo bedding, which is laundered separately according to its specific care requirements rather than mixed with large commercial accommodation laundry loads, to our certified organic Austin Austin toiletries, filtered drinking water, and carefully selected Japanese green teas from Shizuoka, every detail has been chosen because it is something I genuinely value in my own home.
My background in herbalism, the beauty industry and yoga has taught me that wellbeing is often found in life's simplest pleasures. I wanted to create a place where guests could slow down, rest well and feel genuinely cared for.
My hope is simply that when you stay at Arundel House, you sleep well, feel comfortable and sense that everything has been prepared with genuine thought and care.
